Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds

10/15/2019

This is a huge week if you have multiple Panther and Buccaneer players like I do. They both have a bye this week along with the Steelers and the Browns. A ton of teams will be missing key players on their roster and may be scrambling for a plug and play option. As for runningbacks goes, there really isn't much options out there. You may need to be looking to do a trade. It's not a very exciting week for waiver pickups, as been the trend for most of this year. We are getting into the final half of the year so it's now time to push for those playoff spots if you have been struggling. As always I will be using ESPN projections and will continue what I did last week by throwing in a few guys just over the 50% ownership mark that I feel like are must pickups if they are out there.

QB:

Josh Allen (47.6%)- I actually have Josh Allen as a better pickup than the guy I'll have over the 50% ownership mark. He is going to explode through these next few weeks. He gets a matchup against the Dolphins this week. The Bills defense should have a field day against the team, giving Allen a ton of short fields throughout the game. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Allen finish in the top 5 QB's for this week. Go pick him up and continue to start him through his upcoming matchups.

Jacoby Brissett (45.5%)- Other than his dud game against the Chiefs, he has been great. Jacoby has thrown for multiple touchdowns in 4 out of 5 games and I think he can do it again this week. Houston has given up the 9th most fantasy points to opposing QB's and over the last 2 games they have allowed 6 passing touchdowns. I think you can trust Brissett this week if you are streaming the position. I have been very impressed how this team has played after Andrew Luck retired.

Daniel Jones (40.4%)- It was a rough week for the rookie as the Patriots got the better of him, but who hasn't the Patriots gotten the better of so far this year? He played just about as best as you can for a rookie in New England. This week present a better matchup against the Cardinals, but I will say Patrick Peterson should be returning this week which could help this passing defense. I still think with Saquon Barkley potentially returning and Golden Tate now playing, he has a solid chance to get multiple scores in this game.

Jimmy Garoppolo (35.6%)- I went back and forth deciding whether to put Jimmy over Jones this week but with how well these guys run the ball I decided to move him down. This is a fantastic matchup against the Washington Redskins, who have just been awful all year long. He failed to throw for a passing touchdown last week but he really didn't need to. They have a great defense which should allow for short fields. I like his scoring opportunities this week against the Redskins.

Notable Add- Garnder Minshew (55%)

RB:

Benny Snell Jr. (2.1%)- James Conner can't seem to stay healthy this year and I hate to say it but you never know if he will begin to miss games. With Jaylen Samuels out for a little bit, I like Snell's chances to see some more work. He was able to get 17 rushes last week, most coming in the second half after James Conner left the game. I do think Conner plays this week, but Snell would be a mid pack RB2 for me if Conner were to miss any time.

Jamaal Williams (25.8%)- He looked amazing on Monday Night Football, taking 14 carries for 104 yards. He also added 4 catches for 32 yards and a touchdown. This team really doesn't want to give Aaron Jones a full workload and after Monday's game, it doesn't help his case. I think both guys will split the workload with Williams potentially leading each week. It really depends on how Jones plays but if you are hurting at RB, here is a guy I think you may be able to throw in this week.

Chase Edmonds (22.6%)- He has looked pretty good in relief for David Johnson. The team seems to want to get Edmonds some touches each week. He now has a touchdown in back to back games but don't always bank on that happening. He is a must pickup if you have David Johnson. I have been saying it since the preseason and if you have DJ on your squad and something happens, you may be out of luck.

Notable Adds- Devin Singletary (65.3%), Malcolm Brown (58.9%)

WR:

Albert Wilson (8.9%)- I have been throwing him on here towards the end of my lists for a few weeks now and I think I'm ready to let him lead it. He has played in only 2 games this year and here are the stats. In week 1 he played only 6 snaps before getting injured and had 4 targets. Last week he was getting eased back in and played 29 snaps and got 6 targets. He is going to be a target machine when he gets up to full speed. It is a low risk, high reward situation with who I had as the WR1 for this team going into the year.

Cole Beasley (25.2%)- I am all in on the Bills over the next few weeks and that's saying something from a Patriots fan. I love their upcoming matchups. Beasley gets a ton of targets each week and has had at least 5 catches or 70 yards in 4 out of 5 games this year. He is a great bye week fill in for PPR leagues. I can see the Bills putting up over 30 points in this game.

Auden Tate (21.4%)- He has really looked great coming in after John Ross was sent to IR and A.J. Green yet to play this year. He has been playing around 90% of the snaps since week 3 and is getting a ton of targets. The Bengals get the Jaguars this week but they have only been a middling defense against opposing WR this year. If he continues to get this type of target share, I think he will can be a decent asset for your roster.

A.J. Brown (12.4%)- He is back once again on this list but this week it is really only because of Ryan Tannehill. That was very weird to write but he actually showed some signs of life for this passing game after Mariota was benched. I did project this happening at some point in the year and I think Brown should be able to capitalize on better QB play. He is more of a stash for me rather than a plug and play for this week.

Notable Adds: John Brown (57.2%), Jamison Crowder (57.8%), Robby Anderson (56.9%), DeSean Jackson (67.9%)

TE:

Chris Herndon (17.8%)- I know he is going to miss a few weeks but if you have the roster spot or an open IR spot that allows players with the OUT designation, he is still worth an add. He actually may return when the Jets schedule gets very fantasy relevant. He should be able to help contending teams get into the playoffs once he returns.

Dawson Knox (2.9%)- It is real tough sledding for the TE position but like I said I love this Bills matchups for the next few weeks. He suffered an ankle injury, but looks like he may be able to suit up against the Dolphins. He has been getting a solid amount of work and think he can be somewhat serviceable this week.

Darren Fells (2.4%)-It is really hard to figure out which Texans TE will get more work but I will go with the hot hand in Fells. He had 6 catches last week while playing 87% of the snaps. If he continues to lead the team for TE snaps, he will be the guy I'd want for fantasy. The Colts have given up the 3rd most fantasy points per game to opposing TE so I think you can use Fells this week if you really need a start.

Noah Fant (10.8%)- Here is another guy who has been on here a few times and I think he is a low end desperation play this week at TE. This team will be needing to throw all game and the Chiefs have allowed the 9th most fantasy points per game to opposing TE this year. He is continually leading the TE group in snaps and could possibly get some extra work this week as the Broncos are sure to be trailing.

Notable Adds: Hunter Henry (54%), Jason Witten (52.6%)

DEF:

It's a rough week for streaming FYI

49ers (58.5%)

Packers (37.6%)

Chiefs (15.1%)

Lions (2.8%)
