Week 15 Waiver Wire Adds

12/10/2019

If you are still here congrats. It should mean you are still in the title run. Now is not the time to stop checking your waiver wire. The NFL was hit with a ton of injuries last week, so if you were able to survive, you likely need some replacements. Most of these guys I have wrote about countless times and if you prepared early, you shouldn't have to worry much about getting these guys. As always I will use ESPN ownership percentages. A win this week should lead many of you to the fantasy championship. Good Luck!

QB:

Ryan Tannehill (40.1%)- He has been insane since taking over the job in Tennessee. He was my favorite streamer last week and he put up 391 yards and 3 touchdowns. I think you can go ahead and fire him up once again against a Texans team who just was torched by rookie Drew Lock.

Gardner Minshew (12.8%)- He wasn't great last week but I am thinking he has a bounce back game this week against the Raiders. It does hurt Minshew that his star WR D.J. Chark is slated to miss this weeks game, but the Raiders are no defense to be afraid of. They have allowed the 4th most fantasy points per game to Qb's. This team also got shredded by the guy listed above Minshew.

Eli Manning (4.2%)- It looks like Daniel Jones is likely out once again, which leaves Ol' Eli to take over the starting job once again. He actually didn't look terrible against the Eagles on Monday night, throwing for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns. He does need to do better in the passing yards category and he should be able to do that against the awful Miami Dolphins.

RB:

Deandre Washington (9.5%)- Josh Jacobs was ruled out before Sunday's game, which led to Washington taking over the backfield. He had 20 touches for 96 yards and a touchdown. He was even used more in the passing game than Jacobs has in previous weeks. Washington is going to be a fantastic play if Jacobs misses again in week 15.

Adrian Peterson (44.1%)- Derrius Guice is likely set to miss the rest of the year with a MCL injury. It's awful that the young RB can't stay on the field, but now it leaves AP to handle the entire workload. This team does play a tough defense in the Eagles, but with enough work, I think Peterson could be started. I lost Guice in a league and will now be looking to lean on AP.

Bo Scarbrough (43.3%)- The Lions have been feeding him like crazy these last few weeks, but unfortunately he isn't used in the passing game. He has had some really touch matchups but it doesn't stop this week against the Buccaneers. He is a better standard scoring play than PPR, and should continue to see 15-20 touches this week.

Patrick Laird (10.8%)- He isn't a great option but he still has the backfield all to himself. He also has a good matchup against the Giants defense who are a middling rush defense. Laird also is being used in the passing game. He is a low end RB3 that I think you can start in a pinch this week.

WR:

Deebo Samuel (47.4%)- I'm actually surprised his ownership hasn't increased lately with how great he has been. Last week he managed 5 catches for 76 yards. He also had 33 rushing yards. This weeks matchup is against a very beatable Falcons defense. If Jimmy continues to sling the ball around, Samuel should have a nice day.

A.J. Brown (31.3%)- If you got him last week and started him like I did, he killed it for you. The rookie had 5 catches for 153 yards and 2 scores. He just seemed to continue to break tackles in the open field. I am expecting another huge day against the Texans. He is now playing 90% of snaps and has seemed to take over the WR1 role for this team.

Zach Pascal (30.7%)- He came through last week with 74 yards and a score. He saw most of his production during the second half, but it looks like T.Y. Hilton will once again be out. Brissett will need to be throwing in this game against the Saints. With Pascal operating as the WR1 on this team, he should get plenty of targets.

Breshad Perriman (0.2%)- Mike Evans will miss the remainder of the year, which will lead to an increase in targets for Perriman. He had 70 yards and a score in last weeks game. Winston has no problem chucking the ball all over the field, putting up high yardage totals. Perriman is a nice add if you are looking for a WR.

TE:

Tyler Higbee (11.4%)- He now has back to back games with over 100 yards and will look to continue his success this week against the Cowboys. He will be downgraded if Gerald Everett plays, but as of now I don't think he will. Higbee is going to be a top 5-7 TE this week if he has the job to himself.

Ian Thomas (0.6%)- He befitted from Greg Olsen's absence, catching 5 balls for 57 yards and a score. If Olsen misses again, I am completely fine starting Thomas once again. This team faces the Seahawks who are terrible at covering opposing TE.

O.J. Howard (39.4%)- It is going to be hard to trust Howard in the playoffs, but he is going to see an uptick in usage with Mike Evans out for the year. He saw a season high in yardage last week and now has back to back games with over 60 yards. Like I said earlier, Winston is going to continue to throw the ball all game long.

Noah Fant (29.7%)- Fant had a huge game last week against the Texans, being Drew Lock's main target. I am expecting the Broncos to be constantly throwing the ball against the Chiefs this week. Good news for Fant as the Chiefs have allowed the 5th most fantasy points per game to opposing TE this year.

Jacob Hollister (44.3%)- Russell Wilson continues to throw to his TE and that shouldn't stop anytime soon. The Panthers have been great against opposing TE, but I think this team can get Hollister the ball this week. There are better streaming options, but you can't ingore Hollister's workload.

DEF:

Chiefs (23.8%)

Seahawks (34.3%)

Buccaneers (6.9%)

Cowboys (49.2%)
