Week 14 Waiver Wire Adds

If you are still sticking with me, it means one of two things. You have made the playoffs or you have just enjoyed reading my content. Either way, Congrats, Celebrate and Thank You! I appreciate every single person who has stuck with me through my first season of fantasy content. You guys are what helps me continue to do what I do. A year ago today, I would have never expected to have the group of people that rally around me each week. Getting all of my weekly tweets means more to me than you would know. This is why I decided to start my own website. I wanted to help people just like me, to enjoy this fun game that we play. From the bottom of my heart I would like to say thank you to everyone who has put their trust into me. It has been my favorite season since I started playing this game. Also, everyone needs to thank my amazing supportive fiance, as she continued to push me each week to put out content. I am confident that I will only go up from here. This season has opened up so many doors and I cannot wait to see what next season brings us.
We have now entered the playoffs. This is what we work towards all season long. No matter if you have the bye or if you just squeaked by, a playoff spot is a playoff spot. I hope I have used this medium to help get you to a championship. From this week on, I will be focusing more on current matchups rather than stashes. Some pickups will have a higher priority due to the matchup. I will be finished with my semester this week, so only more in depth content is to come. It is do-or-die from here on out. I hope to bring many of you onto this championship journey that we have all been waiting for. Well, everyone besides my buddy Chance, who is going to use all of my content this week to try to defeat me.
As always my ownership percentage is based off of ESPN.
QB:
Lamar Jackson (51.5%)- I am not sure why he is still so widely available. Since taking over the starting job, he has averaged 18 fantasy points per game. He has a solid floor due to his rushing. He has three straight games with over 70 rushing yards. I am personally riding with him all through the playoffs. In this game, the Ravens will face the Chiefs who have given up the 5th most FPPG to the QB this year.
Baker Mayfield (47.1%)- He had a rough first half against the Texans last week. He came out of halftime and threw for over 300 yards. He finished the day with 397 yards and a ton of interceptions. Before this game, he had 5 straight games with multiple touchdowns. It gets easier this week, with a matchup against the Panthers. They have allowed multiple passing touchdowns in every game except one, dating back to week 2.
Josh Allen (3.7%)- Since returning from his injury, he has been a top scoring QB. In his last two games, he has a total of 234 rushing yards along with 3 passing touchdowns. This week he plays the Jets who have given up the 3rd most passing touchdowns this year. The Jets have also given up multiple passing touchdowns in 8 of the last 9 games. Allen should benefit from the short fields and bad defense on Sunday.
RB:
*Handcuffs: I would add my stud RB backup before any of these options unless you need a one week fill in. As shown from past weeks with Melvin Gordon and Kareem Hunt, it is very important to have your RB backup. I have been hounding on it all year and it will never be more important than in the playoffs.
Jeff Wilson Jr. (0.4%)- Matt Breida has been declared out for their week 14 matchup against the Broncos. Now I am prioritizing him for two reasons. One, he will get the bulk of the touches for one of the best rushing teams. Two, despite his tough matchup, he looks to be used a ton in the passing game. There could be a ton of check downs to him in this game. Playing last week, he ran 15 times for 61 yards and caught 8 of 9 targets for 73 yards. He also had two redzone carries.
Jaylen Samuels (3.4%)- James Conner got injured late in last weeks game. The Steelers have already ruled him out for this weeks game. Mike Tomlin has said they will use a RBBC against the Raiders. It is a great matchup, but with this most likely a full blown committee, I think Wilson is the better pickup. Samuels still needs to be owned and played this week.
Justin Jackson (12.2%)- If you have Ekeler, stay put. If not, Jackson should be a solid pickup. I'm expecting Melvin Gordon to be out once again, leaving the door open for both backs to continue their success. Jackson may be more valuable in standard leagues, as he isn't a factor in the passing game. He has ran great and that should continue against the terrible Bengals defense.
Rashaad Penny (21.5%)- Here is another RB who can benefit from a teammates injury. Now, it is very likely that Chris Carson is able to play through his finger injury. If not, Penny needs to be owned. After Carson went down, Penny ran for 65 yards and a touchdown off of 7 carries. It is going to be a tough matchup, but if you are desperate, he may get a good amount of touches.
Chris Thompson (55.6%)- He could be a solid flex option in PPR leagues this week. This team has lost yet another QB and should be resorting to relying on the ground game. Both of the Redskins RB are the only pieces I want on this team. He had 5 targets in his first game back from being injured. The Redskins get the Giants this week who just allowed Tarik Cohen to catch 12 balls for 156 yards.
LeGarrette Blount (44.7%)- If you need a RB to start this week, you could do worse than Blount. In his last two games he has 10 total redzone touches. He also has had back to back games with over 15 rushes. If Kerryon Johnson, sits again this week, Blount has a favorable matchup against the Cardinals. They have given up the most rushing touchdowns and the 5th most FPPG.
WR:
Adam Humphries (41.2%)- If you picked him up last week and played him, you were happy with the results. I had him on this column last week and he should continue to be here until he gets more owned. He has 13 catches the last 2 games and 5 touchdowns in the last 5. He is a focal point for Winston and has a great matchup this week. The Saints have given up the most FPPG and yards to opposing WR.
Bruce Ellington (8.8%)- He has really benefited with the loss of Marvin Jones and Golden Tate. He has had 26 total targets the last three games. He is a solid PPR play most weeks, but my gut is telling me he gets into the endzone. Kenny Golladay will be stuck with Patrick Peterson all day and Stafford is going to need to find his emerging target.
Courtland Sutton (52.6%)- I called a nice game for Sutton last week and he actually showed up. I think he has another chance to shine against the 49ers. They gave given up the 11th most FPPG and the most touchdowns to the WR position. Sutton has had at least 50 yards in 4 of his last 5 games. His targets are increasing and should benefit from the soft matchup.
Dante Pettis (2.2%)- He has exploded in the last two weeks. He is taking full advantage of the absence of Goodwin. In the last two games, he has 206 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also has at least 6 targets in the last 3. If he gets matched up with Bradley Roby, he could continue his recent success. Roby has allowed over 90 yards in 4 of his last 7 games.
Mike Williams (27.3%)- This is a gut pick here. I think he finds the endzone this week. He is going to be a huge boom or bust play this week. With the Chargers getting the terrible Bengals defense, I'd bet on the boom. He has 4 touchdowns in his last 6 games. I can see the Chargers putting up a ton of points against the defense.
Antonio Callaway (9.4%)- He has been a solid play the past two weeks. Baker seems to look at him more as the offense gets more established. He has posted a 7-146-1 line over the last two games. They play the Panthers this week and hopefully he can avoid Bradberry. If he is able to, I like his chances to continue his success.
Chris Conley (13.0%)- I am expecting Sammy Watkins to miss this game. It may be one of the Chiefs tougher matchups against the Ravens. If it was a worse pass defense, Conley would be a lot higher on this list. In the past 3 weeks, he has played over 85% of the snaps. This amount of playing time in one of the best offenses in the league, is going to translate into fantasy success. He has 3 touchdowns in his last 2 games.
TE:
Vance McDonald (54.1%)- TE has been awful these past few weeks so these two pickups are really your best options for this week. Other than these two, its a complete dart throw. With this position your just looking for opportunity. McDonald has averaged 5.6 targets a game in the last 5. He also has 2 touchdowns in the last 4 games. I am rolling with him in a playoff game this week.
C.J. Uzomah (31.2%)- As I said above, you are looking for opportunity. Uzomah has a ton of it. He is playing basically every snap on this offense. He is also averaging 8 targets over the last 3 games. Follow the targets when in doubt.
D/ST:
Pittsburgh Steelers (57.9%)
Buffalo Bills (41.3%)
Tennessee Titans (54.1%)
New York Giants (2.5%) *If desperate or in DFS
