Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups

Welcome back to another waiver wire column! We have about 3 weeks until the fantasy playoffs begin. If you are fighting for a playoff spot, stashing defenses or QB's won't be as important. If you are likely to make the playoffs, it's a great idea to start looking ahead and stashing. Personally, I am stashing the Patriots defense. You may not have that luxury, so it is important to continue to play week to week. This week's byes include the Ravens, Broncos, Texans, and Vikings. It is still important as ever to continue to upgrade your team. As always, I will be using ESPN for ownership percentage. Good luck this week!
QB:
Andy Dalton (53.5%)- The Red Rifle is off a bye and I think he will continue to have success. He has had 6 games with multiple touchdowns this season. A.J. Green should be out in this game, but I still think Dalton will have success against the Saints this week. The Saints have a bottom 10 pass defense. Dalton could be in store for some garbage time work.
Baker Mayfield (38.0%)- He has had 3 straight gamed with multiple touchdowns. The offense seemed to operating better after the firing of both the head coach and offensive coordinators. The Falcons are just as bad as the Saints against the QB. He is going to be a solid streamer this week. He may not have a blow-up week, but he should get you a solid 20+ point performance.
RB:
Duke Johnson (49.6%)- He is a must own in PPR leagues. It looks like the change in coaching staff is going to allow Duke to perform as he has in the past. He's not going to get the carries, but he will be used a ton in the passing game. This Browns team should be playing from behind in most games. Last week, Johnson caught all 9 of his targets and scored twice. He will be a huge PPR asset going forward.
Mike Davis (18.5%)- If Carson misses any time, Davis is in for a huge workload. Last week he had 15 carries and 7 catches. The work in the passing game is a huge surprise. The Seahawks want to run the ball, and they seem to trust Davis. He could be a great spot start next week.
Elijah McGuire (9.4%)- The Jets don't want to rely solely on Crowell going forward so McGuire could start to get more work. If he takes over the Bilal Powell role, he could have some fantasy relevance in the near future. Towards the end of the game, the Jets constantly had McGuire on the field. He lead the team in snaps and targets last week.
Ito Smith (31.7%)- He continues to see redzone work. He has scored a touchdown in 4 of his last 5 games. He is losing a little bit of work to Tevin Coleman, but he will still continue to see double digit touches each week. I view him has a low end flex going forward. He will be touchdown dependent.
Giovani Bernard (33.1%)- If you are a Mixon owner, Bernard needs to be owned. He is back at practice this week and the Bengals are off the bye. He is one of the more important handcuffs to own.
WR:
Marquez Valdes-Scantling (20.8%)- Geronimo Allison has been placed on IR and should be done for the year. This opens the door for MVS to have a huge role in this offense. He actually played more snaps than Randall Cobb last week. I am viewing him as the WR2 for the Packers. A player in that type of position, is bound to have huge fantasy weeks. He is a WR2/3 going forward.
D.J. Moore (46.7%)- I think gamescript killed Moore in last weeks performance. Cam Newton only threw a total of 25 times. Better days are ahead for the rookie. The Panthers have shown they want to get him involved in this offense. He is also getting a few carries each game. He should continue to a part of this offense going forward.
Willie Snead (22.5%)- If you are looking for a guy who is going to get you close to 10 or more fantasy points each week, look no further. He has been a solid PPR play each week. Now, he doesn't score touchdowns, but he gets a massive amount of targets. He is good for at least 5 catches for 50 yards every week.
Christian Kirk (17.4%)- He has been a consistent part of this offense lately and will continue that trend this week. He is averaging about 12 PPR points per game over his last 6 games. This offense has looked better each week and Kirk is going to benefit.
Adam Humphries (2.8%)- He has been solid the past two weeks, with at least 75 yards in each game. He also has caught 15 passes in this stretch. The only downside with him is the competition for targets each week. The Buccaneers have 5 different solid options to throw to each week. This may cause Humphries to have a few down games.
TE:
Jack Doyle (40.5%)- I have no idea how he is still available in this many leagues, but he needs to be picked up everywhere. He was in for 75% of the Colts snaps in week 8, while Ebron dipped down to under 20%. The Colts are sticking with Doyle and are clearly wanting to feature him. The Colts don't have many pass catching options, so Doyle will be a huge asset going forward.
Jeff Heuerman (7.9%)- He exploded last week catching 10 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. He seems to benefit the most from the Broncos trading away Demaryius Thomas. They may look to feature him some more in the coming weeks. I will be adding him in a few leagues where I am hurting at TE.
Chris Herndon (12.5%)- He has made a solid case for himself in this Jets offense. He is a solid TE streamer going forward. He has had at least 40 yards in three of the last four games. He has also scored in three of the last four. TE is so hard to find, but it looks like he will have a consistent role.
D/ST:
New England Patriots (62.7%) *Play this week and stash for playoffs*
Los Angeles Chargers (44.0%)
New York Jets (37.3%)
Green Bay Packers (15.5%)
