Waiver Wire Finds Week 3

09/17/2018

Lets hope this weeks article doesn't delete itself like last week. Another week down and it was an interesting one! I will go through waiver wire adds for each position. The order they will be placed in is the priority in which I would add them. The ownership percentage next to each name is based on ESPN ownership.

QB:

Ryan Fitzpatrick (31.3% owned): Alright I've bought in on Fitzmagic. He is having his best season in his career and I think it will continue this week. He gets a matchup with the Steelers who just allowed 6 passing TD to the Chiefs. If you are in need of a QB this week he is my number one streamer.

Andy Dalton (18.2% owned): The red rifle has been hot for the start of the season and could continue that next week. He does go up against a tough Panthers defense, but they gave up 272 passing yards and two TD's to Matt Ryan on Sunday. Dalton surprised everyone with a 4 TD performance against a top Ravens defense. This offense looks to be like the real deal finally. Dalton is a decent streamer this week.

RB:

Aaron Jones (45.6% owned): If you decided not to add him last week, this is your last chance. He returns from suspension and can easily take over the starting RB job for the Packers. As a rookie last year, he averaged 5.5 yards a carry and has big play ability. He looks like the better RB on this team and with the average performance by Jamaal Williams the first two weeks, its Jones's job to take.

Giovani Bernard (39.4% owned): He should be a popular add this week with the knee injury to Joe Mixon that will keep him out for a few weeks. Bernard did a fine job of filling in for Mixon after he went down. He is going to be more valuable in PPR leagues as he had 6 catches last week. He will take on a workhorse roll for the Bengals in the next few weeks.

Philip Lindsay (61.6% owned): He may be owned in your league but its worth a look. He took over the Broncos backfield with 14 rushes for 107 yards. The undrafted rookie has insane speed and the Broncos are starting to favor him over Royce Freeman. It does look like Freeman has the goal-line job, but Lindsay could continue to out-touch him in the near future.

Marlon Mack (54.9% owned): Not sure why he is so widely availible, but if he is out there in your league he is worth a pickup. He is slowly getting healthy again, and should be leading the Colts backfield within a few weeks. The other two Colts RB (Wilkins and Hines) are also worth an add in the case that Mack never gets fully healthy. Beware this could become a running back by committee backfield.

Austin Ekeler (42.9% owned): If you own Melvin Gordon, Ekeler needs to be on your roster. He needs to be ownership % needs to be in the 90s at a minimum. He as some flex, standalone value as he ran for 77 yards on 11 carries. Adding 3 catches for 21 yards. They like Ekeler a lot and want to use him even with Melvin Gordon healthy. If for some reason Gordon gets injured, he will be a top 10 RB.

Javorius (Buck) Allen (18.8% owned): I may stay away if I was in a standard scoring league but he has a good chance of being Flex-worthy in PPR leagues. They seem to be straying away from Collins for some odd reason. Allen did get the goal line carry and added 5 catches. He has had 10 catches in the last two games. If the Ravens continue to use him like this, he is worth a pickup.

WR:

Quincy Enunwa (56.8% owned): The clear #1 receiving option for the Jets needs to be owned everywhere. He has caught 13 catches in the last two games. He owns a 33.3% target share for the Jets, which is the 5th highest in the NFL. He is in for a huge year. Get him before he is gone.

Desean Jackson (61.1% owned): He has been on fire for the start of the season. He has 3 TD with back to back 100 yard games. He is a big play threat for a team that is lighting it up. Ride it while its hot. This streak could come to the end if Winston comes back from suspension and takes over the QB spot. As of now keep him in your lineups, as he has a juicy matchup this week playing the Steelers.

Keelan Cole (48.4% owned): We have seen Cole have big games last season and last week was his first of the year. He finally was used in the number 1 role that I have been expecting. He had 7 catches for 116 yards and a TD. The Jaguars upcoming weeks are pretty easy matchups for this offense. Look for more big weeks in the coming future.

John Brown (23.9% owned): The clear number two option for Flacco had a great week 2. He caught 4 catches for 92 yards and a TD. He looked good. His touchdown catch was impressive as he was fighting for the ball at the sideline. Finally healthy, he looks to make a huge impact for the Ravens this year.

Mike Williams (35.3% owned): It was a disappointing outing by Williams this week but he did save his day with a TD. He caught both of his targets for a total of 27 yards, but he is a huge redzone target for Philip Rivers. He will be used constantly in the redzone and should be owned in more leagues.

Antonio Callaway (3.7% owned): The absence of Josh Gordon could propel Callaway into the number two WR spot. The rookie out of Florida showed his big play ability on a beautiful 47 yard touchdown catch. He was third in targets among WR but I think he could easily make a case for the number two spot in the coming weeks.

TE:

Ben Watson (36.6% owned): If you did not watch the game and just look at his 3 catches for 19 yards stat line, it would seem like he isn't involved at all. He actually had 5 targets and played in 81% of snaps. He was wide open in the endzone and Brees overthrew him. He should have better days in this offense.

Eric Ebron (35.6% owned): I am team Doyle but I can't discredit Andrew Luck's preference in the endzone. Now scoring in two straight games, it is looking like he will have a better season than I expected. The Colts have a limited amount of pass catchers that can make an impact, so Ebron should get some work each week.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins (30% owned): He actually was credited a TD this week after getting one called back last week. He also had quite of few of those happen to him last season. He should have two TD this season in back to back games, and seems to be the preferred endzone target for Blake Bortles. Now we just need to hope that his TD's will actually be counted.

D/ST & K:

Chicago Bears (58.6% owned): They will be my main streaming target this week if they are somehow still available in a few leagues. I jumped the gun and added them last week for this matchup. They get to go up against the Arizona Cardinals who just look completely lost. They have scored a total of 6 points this season and could get shutout two weeks in a row. The Bears defense is legit and should have plenty of chances to get you a ton of points.

Miami Dolphins (18.9% owned):This defense has quietly been the 6th best fantasy defense in the last two weeks. They get to match up against the Raiders in which I expect to be a low scoring game. The key for this defense is turnovers. They have had 3 turnovers in the last two games. They are a low end streamer for this week but I would look to start them if I had too.

Dan Bailey(2.0% owned): As of this morning he was signed to the Vikings. This is a high scoring offense and Bailey will have plenty of chances to become a top 10 kicker. If you are not happy with your current kicker go get him. He should be available in every league.
